![]() ![]() In a world that accepts shifters as normal and thinks nothing of human/shifter couples, baby shifters and small shifters are treated as subpar. What kind of big cat shifters do you like the most? The cover gives a perfect portrait of a pretty snow leopard cub, and of course I was very happy with it. One of the things that always has me go “Aw” is the sight of the cubs because they have blue eyes and always look so cuddly and mischievous. They have one of the longest and bushiest tails of all big cats and use it for balance-or as a blanket for their face, when they sleep. ![]() I guess the small, round ears always give a bit of a baby-ish impression, although these big cats are very good climbers. ![]() I love their outer appearance-the white, thick fur with black dots and rosettes. Of course, I could’ve chosen any of the other big cats, but since the snow leopards are my favorites, and they seem underrepresented in books, the decision to create a snow leopard shifter wasn’t a difficult one. Luckily for me, we lived close to a zoo that raises snow leopards, and there’ve been cubs every couple of years. There’s no specific reason for it, but I remember seeing them in a zoo for the first time and being completely captivated. You’ve guessed correctly that snow leopards are my favorite big cats.
